I am leader for this month, but was too sick to attend last week. I thank John for stepping in for me!!!
I brought an ARE cassette of Meditating the Edgar Cayce suggested way that we listened to and used for our meditation. This prompted some discussions of how many chakras there are, 7 or 8, and is the Crown chakra Violet or White? We invited everyone to bring literature that teaches about chakras to the next meeting.
The group had read in A Search for God Book II last week in the Day & Night chapter and we continued to read up to "I am--Alpha and Omega." We discussed the ideas presented as we read.
We read in Experiments in Practical Spirituality up to the experiment on page 22:
Experiment: Make a list of the major material things and possessions in your life. As a self-study, write next to each one your current attitude toward that material possession and what your ideal mental attitude would be.
It was brought up that perhaps we should collect money to send to the A.R.E. to help show our support. We can discuss this further about a weekly or monthly monetary collection from the group or if individuals want to just send donations on their own to the A.R.E.
