We did not read any of Cayce’s Story of the Bible tonight. Instead, we voted on whether to proceed with the book or go to something else. The vote was we continue with the book and take occasional breaks. So tonight we read a section about the Essenes from the book The Edgar Cayce Reader.

In Cayce’s Story of the Bible, we started with “Pages of Wisdom” on page 355, and continued on with “ Solomon Goes Astray,” “Asaph—The King’s seer in the matters of God,” ”Solomon’s Sailor,” “The Wise One,” “Two Apshas,” and “The Dreamer.” Next week we will begin Part Three, “From Solomon’s Glories to the Birth of Jesus,” on page 367.

In Cayce’s Story of the Bible, we started with “The Kingdom Within” on page 350, and read “Portrait of a King” and “Another Dream.” We are currently at “Pages of Wisdom” on page 355. We had some discussion on whether to continue with the book, or possibly take breaks or diversions while continuing on with the book. Although no vote was taken, it appeared that most wanted to continue on, but we have been asked to think about it another week.

As a kind of experiment, we were directed to think about what the story of Solomon means to us personally.

In Cayce’s Story of the Bible, we started with “Absalom’s Rebellion,” and read “Footnotes to an Era,” “The King’s Seal,” “and “A Brother to Solomon.” We then proceeded to Chapter 17, where we read the opening to “The Golden Age of Solomon.” Next week we will start with “The Kingdom Within” on page 350.
