A.R.E. Meeting for 8/26/24

The gang of five was back to delve further into the book, Before the Beginning. We began Chapter 3 and made it to the fourth day of creation on page 33. We are borrowing an experiment from the Spirit chapter of A Search for God.
 
Experiment: Be alert for signs of the spirit of our changing times. Try to act and think in such a way that you cooperate with and help to build a new world. Be especially aware of how to talk to others about the challenges and difficulties of the times. Let your words bespeak the consciousness of hope.
 
No meeting on Monday, 3 September. Sylvia will lead in September in place of Eric.

There was a small gathering of three to continue with the book Before the Beginning. We discussed the experiment with humor this week, before continuing our reading. We made it to the start of the second paragraph on page 23.
 
Experiment: (Q) How may the body better leave off the mental worries or go about to eliminate them? (A) Fill the mind with something else! (Reading 294-91)

A.R.E. Meeting for 8/12/24

All five gathered to philosophize on one particular Cayce reading. We began again this week with a different type of guided meditation from Cindi. We went through most of Reading 5749-14 from Tom Sugrue’s book There is a River. We will continue with question number 21 on page 21 of Before the Beginning.

Experiment: Do study those things pertaining to the humor and they may be a helpful force, not only in the life of self but as an entertainment, and as an attraction to others by and for the individual, in their ability to raise the hopes of others. And in raising hope, in inspiring others, the individual may succeed the most in inspiring and in raising the vibration in self (ECRL 3197-1).

A.R.E. Meeting for 8/5/24

Everyone was in attendance. We began with a different type of guided meditation from Cindi, and had a good discussion of free will afterwards. In Chapter 2 of Eula Allen’s book “Before the Beginning,” we read to page 18 and stopped at Reading 5749-14.

Experiment: Seek what is BEST in those you meet every day. LIVE peace and harmony within, and you will bring peace and harmony to those you meet (CCL 281-56).

Four students began our session and we were joined by a fifth near the end. In Chapter 2 of Eula Allen’s book “Before the Beginning,” we read to page 16 and stopped at “Mind Is Ever the Builder.”
 
Experiment: We each are endowed with Christ Consciousness but through our misuse of free will, we struggle. This week, try to see God or the Christ in everyone.

A.R.E. Meeting for 7/22/24

All five searchers moved into Chapter 2 of Eula Allen’s book “Before the Beginning.” We stopped on page 12 of Chapter 2, right before the last Cayce reading on the page (900-359). It was suggested that we try to reflect on what was read so as to make better sense of the material.
 
Experiment: The First Cause was that the created would be a companion with the Creator. During the next week, attempt to contact your Higher Self and ask how you can be more worthy of, and companionable to, the Creator.

After a late start, we reflected on our weekly experiment about the ideals we perceive of our country. We did not read from our book “Before the Beginning” so will pick it up next week at the beginning of Chapter 2.
 
Experiment: From 262-106: TRY in your own life, that you do not speak for ONE WHOLE DAY unkindly of any; that you do not say a harsh word to any, about any; and see what a day would bring to you…
